Robots
Six robot personalities are available as opponents, each with distinct combat styles and shopping strategies. Understanding their behaviours will help you adapt your strategy and outmaneuver them.
R1 Prototype
Difficulty: 1 – EasiestThese tanks are very slow thinkers and also rather nervous, so they only dare attack the tank with the lowest score. Don't be too hard on them.
R2 Prototype
Difficulty: 2 – EasyImproved version of the R1 Prototype. These tanks will just attack the tank with the lowest score.
R3 Seeker
Difficulty: 3 – MediumThis type of robot avoids the long range fighting style and saves all of its weapon energy for quick kills at short range. They always aim for the closest tank, and they may use ECM Hackers.
R3 Seekers shop efficiently, focusing on close-range weapons and ECM Hackers to support their aggressive short-range tactics.
R4 Hunter
Difficulty: 4 – HardOnly the leaders of the game should be concerned with the Hunters. Hunters like to use lasers and will ignore players that they think are inferior. When they use their Glow Shields it is better to manipulate them into wasting their weapon energy so that their shields cannot be activated, rather than using shields yourself.
Hunters favour laser weapons and Glow Shields, purchasing upgrades to dominate top-scoring opponents.
R5 Defender
Difficulty: 5 – Very HardDefenders prefer to use laser fire and keep their distance from other players, and they attempt to be efficient with their firing and save effectively.
Defenders save credits carefully and invest in laser weapons and upgrades, prioritising efficiency over aggression.
R6 Destroyer
Difficulty: 6 – HardestThe Destroyers will use shields and viciously attack the closest tank in range at all times. Because these robots, like the Defenders, are fairly efficient with their firing, they tend to have a lot of credits left over at the end of a long game, which they spend on Score Bribes. So, remember to compare your credits as well as your score towards the end of the game.
Destroyers accumulate credits through efficient combat and spend surplus on Score Bribes at the end of long games. Watch your credit totals, not just your score.
